Joint Admission Examination is the name of the Indian entrance exam. They are the computer-based exams that the NTA (National Testing Agency) administers to applicants for undergraduate engineering programmes at prestigious Indian engineering institutes. JEE Main and JEE Advanced tests are also a part of it. JEE Main, the first portion of the exam, is given in two sessions, and applicants may take it in either April or January.

JEE Main and JEE Advanced are equivalent to the AIEEE and IIT JEE, respectively.
