Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)

“Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna”, is a national fellowship scheme now merged with Inspire Scholarship exam. Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) Bangalore conducts an annual aptitude test to identify the best students across the country and the fellowship is awarded to selected students interested in pursuing research in basic sciences and attracts students to pursue basic science degree courses and research careers in science mathematics subjects. It encourages brilliant students of basic science to take up research work in science. 

Eligibility: Anyone who is in 11th grade to 1st year of any undergraduate course in basic science like B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int, are eligible for this scheme. There are three streams a candidate can apply for: SA, SB, and SX. SA is for class 11th and SB & SX for class 12th students.
