
XAT
Overview
The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a national-level entrance examination conducted in India by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT is one of the most prestigious MBA entrance exams in India, and it is accepted by numerous business schools across the country for admission into their management programs. XAT assesses candidates on various parameters including quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and general awareness. Additionally, XAT also includes a section on essay writing or a subjective question, which evaluates the candidate’s writing skills and ability to express ideas coherently.
The exam pattern and syllabus of XAT may vary slightly from year to year, but it typically consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) as well as an essay writing section. The exam duration is usually three hours
Why XAT ?
XAT scores are accepted by a large number of premier business schools across India. Apart from XLRI, many other reputed institutes like SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, and GIM, among others, consider XAT scores for admission into their management programs. XAT has a unique feature called ‘Negative Marking for Unattempted Questions’, which penalizes candidates for leaving questions unanswered. This encourages candidates to attempt all questions and effectively manage their risk-taking strategy during the exam.
Eligibillity
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university or institute. The degree should be recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- Candidates completing their final year of graduation can also apply for XAT.
- There is no specific minimum aggregate percentage requirement for XAT.
- XAT is open to Indian as well as foreign candidates

MAT
Overview
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is another popular national-level entrance examination for admission to various management programs in India. It is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA), a premier national apex body of management professionals in India. MAT is conducted multiple times a year, typically in the months of February, May, September, and December. This allows candidates flexibility in choosing their exam date according to their preparation schedule.
MAT is conducted in both paper-based (offline) and computer-based (online) modes, giving candidates the option to choose the mode that suits them best. MAT assesses candidates in five key areas: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment. The duration of the exam is usually 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Why MAT ?
MAT scores are accepted by numerous B-schools across India for admission into MBA, PGDM, and other management programs. Many institutes, both national and regional, accept MAT scores as part of their admission criteria. So, the aspiring students who are looking for better B school can go for it. SNAP
Overview
The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to various postgraduate management programs offered by institutes affiliated with Symbiosis International University. These programs include MBA, MSc, and other management courses.
SNAP assesses candidates on various parameters such as quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability, and analytical reasoning. It is a computer-based test typically conducted in December every year. Candidates need to register for SNAP, appear for the test, and then participate in the subsequent selection processes of the respective institutes they are interested in.

Candidates aspiring to seek admission in premier management colleges can appear for SNAP as SNAP scores are accepted by several reputed management institutes across India.

NMAT
Overview
The NRA administers the Common Entrance Test, or CET. The tier I exams, often known as the preliminary exams, are easily replaced by this exam by many central government entities. Every year, this exam is administered twice. This rating will be used to identify candidates for the Group B and Group C positions. The candidate’s score will be disclosed to all hiring organisations once the exam is successfully completed and you receive your CET score. The recruitment firms will now call the candidates for the subsequent exam level based on their score. The score is valid for an additional three years after the scorecard is given out.
Why CET ?
We have many CET exams for the SSC, banks, and railways, and in the past, many students took a lot of tests to gain a job. However, going forward, only one CET will be administered by the three recruitment organisations, and the scorecard will be distributed to them all. This functions as a kind of preliminary exam for the three tests offered by SSC, IBPS, and RRB. You are qualified to take the Tier II and Tier III tests offered by these organisations provided you pass the first round (CET).
Depending on the students’ qualifications, different CET exams are held for 10th grade graduates, 12th grade graduates, and matriculation graduates. The CET exam you must apply for will therefore depend on your educational background or the position for which you are applying.

IIFT
Overview
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Entrance Exam is a prestigious national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) for admission to its flagship Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business program. CAT

To appear for CAT exam there is no age bar and candidates can give as many attempts as needed unless exams isn’t cleared. Attempts are not limited. When it comes to educational qualification candidate must hold a bachelor degree and must have minimum 50% scored and if any candidate is holding professional certificate like CA/CS/CMA, they must hold 50% in terms of average score.

IPMAT
Overview
IP MAT” could refer to the IPMAT exam, which stands for Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test. This exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore for admission to its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The IPM is a unique programme offered by IIM Indore that combines undergraduate and postgraduate education in management. It allows students to enter directly after completing their high school education (12th standard in India) and consists of a total of 15 terms spread over five years.
The IPMAT exam assesses candidates’ aptitude in areas such as quantitative ability, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. It typically consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is followed by a personal interview for shortlisted candidates.

The IPM is a unique integrated programme offered by IIM Indore offering undergraduate and postgraduate education in management. Students can directly seek admission after completing their high school education and obtain a management degree from one of the premier management institutes in India. Eligibillity
- Candidates who have passed the 12th examination or are appearing in the higher secondary examination can apply for it.
- Age limit and Minimum Marks for appearing in the IPMAT exam is mentioned in the official notification.

CPT
Overview
The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry-level examination for Chartered Accountancy in India, conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Although, in January 2022, the CPT has been replaced by the CA Foundation Course by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) yet is commonly known as CA CPT. It has revised the chartered accountancy course structure of Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and renamed it as “CA Foundation”.
For this few new subjects have been added in CPT and exam is renamed as CA foundation- entry level exam to become CA. The exam consists of four papers namely, Principles and Practice of Accounting, Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting, Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and Statistics, and Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge.
Why CPT ?
The change from CA CPT to CA Foundation focuses on conducting the examination with global standards and provides a more comprehensive understanding of the subjects to the aspiring chartered accountants.
